Why should my technology business buy GorillaFlow content?
Alex Napier Holland, Founder
I’m a former tech-sector international sales executive and journalist.
I founded GorillaFlow to provide a unique, world-class content service for technology companies.
🌏 I closed deals on five continents.
👨💼 I pitched and closed CEOs, government ministers and top universities.
🧠 I was trained by experts in sales psychology.
Today, I build and deliver SEO content strategies and email funnels to technology companies and eCommerce stores.
I was an international sales consultant for tech companies – including startups and big corporates.
In 2017 I cashed-in on my writing, sales and strategy skills – and founded GorillaFlow.
I’m a former international sales consultant for startups and big corporate tech companies.
I trained as a journalist and worked for top British newspapers, I then entered the cut-throat world of advertising sales.
I closed big deals with governments and multi-national companies across Asia and Africa – and was trained in ‘hard’ sales techniques. Dirty stuff, like hard closing tactics
I talked my way into the world’s biggest education technology company (despite having ‘the worst academic credentials of anyone they’d ever interviewed’) and advised senior academics at top-ranking universities on their education technology strategy.
I’ve been trained in behavioural psychology, performance psychology and sales techniques from dirty closing techniques to polished pitching and consultative selling methods.
– where I was trained in behavioural psychology
pitched government ministers and CEOs around the planet – with a special talent for closing technical deals off-the-phone.
🌏 International sales expertise
I spent six years in international sales for FTSE100 and startup tech companies.
I also represented the Commonwealth Secretariat in major advertising and marketing projects.
I’ve closed deals on five continents and my clients have included energy companies, government agencies and leading universities.
I’ve seen a shift in buyer awareness.
The internet’s impact goes far beyond allowing people to buy products and services online.
Your customers can research competitors, find online reviews and discover alternative solutions for solving their problems – with or without your help.
‘Fake news’ or not, there’s an increasing appetite for facts, statistics and evidence of your product’s effectiveness.
So your technology business needs to provide high-quality content that addresses and solves the problems your customers are experiencing.
And if you get that right, they will buy your products too.
You need a sales expert.
Your technology business has to create content that:
- Gets ranked in search engines.
- Helps your customers.
- Sells your product or service.
You need more than a copywriter.
You should hire a content agency that build effective sales methods into their strategy.
I’ve been trained by leading industry figures in a range of both hard and consultative sales techniques.
My career started with hard sales, in a commission-only environment. We were trained in aggressive pitching, negotiation and closing techniques. I took five-figure deals off the phone and negotiated with government ministers and energy sector executives on major advertising deals.
- Pitching – in boardrooms, on the phone and online.
- Negotiation – hard and consultative styles, for a range of audiences.
- Closing – the subtle art. And all the tricks it requires.
- Objection handling.
I qualified as
an NCTJ-certified journalist in London before
, with an A-grade portfolio.
I studied journalism in London after graduating in International Relations and wrote for a UK national press agency, before pursuing a career in international sales.
Most of my career has been spent in the technology sector.
I worked with digital marketing agencies in Sydney throughout 2017, where I identified a lack of sufficiently high-quality and specialised content for technology companies selling innovative products and services.
I founded GorillaFlow – combining my expertise as a writer, sales consultant and highly-networked advocate for technology.
I’ve seen many businesses and entrepreneurs fail to get their product in front of their target audience.
And I’ve seen plenty who reach the right people – but at the wrong time or place.
But worst of all, is when they get it right – then ruin their opportunity with a weak pitch.
Too many businesses leave content until last, or rely on a marketing manager briefing a copywriter.
This doesn’t work anymore.
👩💻 Your business needs a content strategist.
Because ‘writing good copy’ doesn’t cut-it in today’s competitive market.
Content marketing is about solving the same problems for your audience that your product does – but using content.
Your content has to stand out in search engine results, or your target’s inbox; grab their attention – and offer real value.
You need great copy, written by someone who can:
Here’s the problem for your business.
Content strategy’s a pretty new game in town.
It’s a discipline that demands sales knowledge, journalism skills and solid knowledge of your sector.
So, there aren’t that many skilled content strategists around. And we’re expensive to hire full-time.
Instead, you can outsource your digital content to us, on a fix monthly fee.
Or, buy individual content from us and see how you like our style!
